And onwards again :)

Today I'm sitting in the youth hostel in Bristol, at last I found computers which accepts all my programs without any restrictions.
So I'm happy to say hello to all of you joining me on my trip :)
What happend?
Since having been in Nottingham the weather is turning better, I'm happy to have experienced the coldest summer in England and the hottest day of year 2012 with +30 degrees!
I left Nottinham in direction Derby, sometimes the cycle path went along the river Trent.

I fell in love with those pathes leading along the canals where all these narrow boats are lying.

After two hot days I reached Lichfield where I left a prayer in the cathedral before heading off to the station. I decided to avoid the big town of Birmingham and take the train to Aschurch near Tewkesbury instead in order to go on with my travels from there. Shout out to Rupert! :) I must say travelling with bicycle on train in England is a really big adventure! The spaces for the cycles in the train and the lifts from platform to platform has been too small, so I was sweating a lot that day :) I was always thinking about that advise to "Keep calm and carry on"!

On a nice camp site along the river in Tewkesbury I for the first time met tourists from Germany. I spent a nice evening with a couple from Minden, thanks Ansgard for the wine, and the thoughts about trust, I truly believe it deals about that in life!
I was early up the next morning, so I had the landscape and lanes all for myself. The only one I met was Shaun and his friends making a rest in the shadow. You can make a picnic with them here :)

I reached Gloucester at lunchtime so I decided to get me something to eat. I was so happy to find Peppers - Cafe and Take Away on 2 Bull Lane. They are specialised in organic and natural food, so I sat down in the hidden courtyard, my cycle was standing safe, and it was the best meal I had since days!

After having had lunch I made a short visit in the cathedral of Gloucester, my thanks goes to the two school girls keeping an eye on my cycle!

After a 30 miles ride I reached one of the most expensive camp sites on my journey. Here I had the great pleasure to meet Pauline, a strong old lady who invited me to come and visit her at her home in Bristol. At old age she have been travelling the "Jakobsweg" on bicycle, I'm really happy having met her. It shows how life can keep going on when getting older - thanks a lot for everything Pauline!
