Minden

Round about 90 km frome where I live is the old town Minden in North-Rhine Westphalia.
I arrived on a sunny sunday and took a walk around in the historic centre watching the old buildungs.

The old granary.

Figures on the pulpit in the Cathedral St. Gorgonius.
The buisness man Hermann Schmieding built this house in 1909, elements taken from Weser-Renaissance are used to let it look like an old building.
Some of the houses were built in the style of Weser-Renaissance, typical are the decorations made of colourful bricks.

In the window of the "Puppenmuseum"
The monument of Kaiser-Wilhelm I was built round about 1890.

The Weser, not far from here the Mittelland Canal passes over the Weser on a double aqueduct.
