Heidelberg - Die Altstadt

It was a grey day in Heidelberg. Some dear friends took me for a walk through the old parts of Heidelberg. Heidelberg had luck and wasn´t destroyed during World War II. There is a lot of old houses from the 17th century left. Feel invited to take a look :)

In the background is the Jesuitenkirche.






From the 16th until the beginning of the 20th century the building Studentenkarzer was a jailhouse. The Ruprecht-Karls-University had own laws, and students who were caught because of thievery, drunkenness or being loud at night had to go to jail.
