How´s The Weather?

Bad - really bad. Heavy rain and wind since 4 days :(

During my cycle tour in 2012 Great Britain had the worse weather since the year the Titanic sunk in 1912 - I had loads of rain and experienced bad storms. The explanations I heard was that the Jet Stream was right above the Islands. In the graphic below the break one can see where the Jet Stream was in June that year.



But it didn´t encourage me so I went back in 2013. That year was warm and sunny most of the time. This is where the Jet Stream was located in July 2013:

Since this experience I have been doing researches on the internet in order to figure out how this weather system works.
One explanation for the Jet Stream behaving different from former times seem to be the increasing warmth of the seas, especially in the arctic regions. Check out the video below, and the links below.
