Daventry

I had been told that the Leicester Branch of The Grand Union would be without any possibilities for shopping until Foxton so I decided to visit the town Daventry in order to get food and enough water for two days. In Daventry a lot of the old houses were built with a special kind of yellow sandstone which only could be found in this area.

Before reaching Norton Junction I met 71 year old F. who was taking a walk along the canal. We had a long chat in which we started to talk about how delightful the canal is. We ended up with that he told me about his life working in the elite commando SAS (Special  Air Service).
I managed to reach the Watford locks in the evening where I put up my tent for the night.
