Hamburg Reeperbahn

In the german movie "Auf der Reeperbahn nachts um halb eins" from 1943 the Reeperbahn in Hamburg probably was very different from the Reeperbahn nowadays. But one thing remained the same, sex sells.



On sunday evening I was focussing on the lights. Feel invited to come with me and have a look.

African dance

One of the best things in my life is the african dance. Dearly to recommend is my wonderful teacher Petra Siekermann.
On this gif - she truly dances very fast  :) -  she is having a performance with her group Yarabi Musik.

Danmark 2010

In the summer of 2010 I visited the small danish islands in the Baltic Sea. Three weeks beautiful weather and 770 kilometre on the bike. It was the best I did since long time.

Blue

Of course I love blue too :)  But what is blue? Some people call blue-violet "blue", others call blue "green". It´s a difficult question ;)  Therefore this is going to be something between green and blue-violet :)

Red

All of you know what happens when a magpie sees something glittering? That happens to me when I see something red :)  Red satisfies my eyes and make me feel happy and warm. It let me think about the planet Mars, liveliness, mellow berries, the chakra of the heart and of course love. Therefore is this collection just the right one for the day after Valentine´s day :)

Hooray, today is carnival in my home town! Nice possibility to take some pictures :) All batteries for the cam are charged, hopefully the grey sky is going to turn into blue. That would be nice.

Groningen Streetscenes

Besides from the beautiful canal with the boats, my favourite shop or the fishmarket even a walk through Groningen makes me stop and take a lot of pictures - enjoy them. :)

My favourite shop in Groningen is like a big flea market. Or as a flea market used to be 20 years ago. I never buy anything, everything costs a lot, and I already have enough things for several lifes. Just as they say in Germany "gucken kostet nichts", take a look and have fun :)

When visiting Groningen I like to go to the fishmarket. Not only fish is sold, you can buy mostly everything you like to eat :)  I like eating some "nieuwe hollandse matjes" with onions, yummi!

Groningen Boats & Water

Groningen is a town not far away from where I live, it´s a beautiful place to take pictures. Here are some I made as I walked along the canals. I love the colours and structures of old things, and the reflections of the water.

Bremen

The webcam is placed on the north side of the railway station "Hauptbahnhof" in Bremen. The building with the 6 ribs was built between 1961-1964 and is called ÖVB-Arena, it´s a place for big concerts or other happenings. The free space, the "Bürgerweide", in front of that building is mostly used as a place to park. Once each autumn the square is used for the "Bremer Freimarkt" (lit. Free Fair), first held in 1035, it´s the oldest fair in Germany. Round about eastern is here another fair to be seen "Osterwiese". Behind the ÖVB-Arena one can see the trees of the biggest park in Bremen called "Bürgerpark".

Stockholm 2010

Jag är på väg till Sverige :)

En vacker vinterdag i Stockholm. Den sista dagen av året 2010. Jag tog en promenad omkring fjärden, tog trappan upp till Södermalm och var i Sophia Parken innan jag gick tillbaka till Gamla Stan. Det blev mörkt redan klockan tre på eftermiddagen. Sedan blev det vägen över Kungsträdgården emot Sergels Torg enda ner till Stureplan.
