Carnival 2015, Pt1

84 out of 3000 - ok, I am crazy, but I really enjoyed the carnival!
Unfortunately it was raining, the sky was grey, and my camera performed badly under these conditions. I´ve tried to make the best out of it - but must say, it is really annoying that Blogger changes the colours of the pics as well! ;(
Anyhow, enjoy, and take a big slurp of that beer, guys! Cheers!

Carnival - Lichtertreiben

This year the carnival started with a celebration in the Milchquartier, called Lichtertreiben. Strange creatures and ghosts made their appearance between the lit up houses.

The Carnival in Bremen exists since 30 years by now, and I have been making pics on the carneval since 3 years - happy birthday! :)
This year´s motto is "The Big Circus"- for sure I´m curious.

London - Notting Hill Carnival

Monday the 25th August turned out to become "the soggiest bank holiday on records" (BBC), but I had come to London in order to visit The Notting Hill Carnival, so I dressed properly in my rain clothes and joined in. As I met my dancing teacher Petra Siekermann, I can proudly say that I have been dancing to the rhytm Tiriba on the carnival :)

Unfortunately Saturday turned out to be grey - not the right light for taking good pictures :(

Can´t hardly wait, on the weekend is carnival in Bremen  - a nice opportunity to meet with friends, dance in the streets and take pictures :)

It turned out to be a sunny day, so I went searching for a nice place to watch the procession which went from the market place in Bremen down to the quarters of Ostertor/Steintor.
So, here they are, 67 out of 4448. If it´s a winning, decide yourself :)
To speak for myself, it was a wonderful day! I definitely loved it :)

Carnival 2013 - Pt1

Dear friends, this weekend is carnival in Bremen :) HERE is the translation for all those englishmen which never learn foreign languages ;) I´m excited and have already charged the batteries of my camera for the procession ;)
For those who can´t take part, I read about the possibility to listen to an internet-live-stream on the local radio. I don´t know if it works, check it out here. The broadcasting beginns at 12:15 vititime on february the second.

Hooray, today is carnival in my home town! Nice possibility to take some pictures :) All batteries for the cam are charged, hopefully the grey sky is going to turn into blue. That would be nice.
