Common Crane Day

It was a cold but sunny tuesday so I took my bicycle for a tour along the River Wümme. The sky was full of Common Cranes on their way to the south.

Harvest

I never liked autumn because of the approaching times of darkness and cold. But this year is different, I am starting to like autumn, it´s the time to harvest the fruits of nature.
On this picture are some Crabapples,  fruits from the Sloe, Sweet Chestnut, Beech Seeds, Rowan, Blackberries, and Hawthorn berries.

Golden - The Harvest Of Life

It was a sunny sunday morning, a wonderful day for taking pics in the nearby allotments.
As old people can be beautiful and shiny in their wisdom, the nature is gleaming golden in times of autumn.
I dedicate this post to my old and very dear friend in Nottingham :)

Autumn

Mostly I´m not very fond of autumn, but this day turned out to be beautiful. It has been freezing the last two nights, so the leaves on the trees are showing their brightest colours. As we had to put back our clocks one hour today, I didn´t meet many people as I did my tour on the bicycle. The ride took me through the Bürgerpark and along the Wümme on the dikes through Blockland.
Look at this, it was amazing! :)

Autumn equinox

I have already seen it since some weeks. But it has definitely become autumn in Olde England. On saturday, 22. September, at 16:49, was the autumn equinox. A lot of the flowers are gone, the colours of nature are changing and the leaves are falling. I have started to pick blackberries on my way, never seen so many before :) The sun is down at 7 o'clock, immediately it's getting cold, I can watch white clouds when catching breath, and my sleeping bag is far to thin for this time of the year. It's time to go back to Germany.
