Kennet & Avon Canal - From Aldermaston to Brunsdon Bridge/Lock
The morning was beautiful and I made it slowly. And short after having made this pic I had to realise that I have a puncture. So off with the luggage again and start the day with work - I was quite happy it was the front wheel :) I managed to repair but had to realise that the tyre had seen better days, so I decided to go to Newbury in order to buy a new one.
After having had this done I went to a webcam in Newbury and made a wave before I left the village. In the evening I put up my tent on the midst of Brunsdon Lock :)

Isle of Wight
I wasn't really sure where to go after Beer, but my dear friend Okka who I met in Harwich in the beginning of my journey, recommended Isle of Wight to me, so that Island became my aim. Somehow I don't have the urge to go on drifting around in England any longer, so I stayed on the Isle of Wight for one and a half weeks - never stayed longer at any other place :) And I had luck with the weather, most of the days turned out to be sunny. I pitched up my tent on a camp site on the west coast, in Freshwater, from where I made long walks along the island.
My dear friends be well prepared for a big post :)

Looe
The next day started with bright sunshine. My neighbours Matt and Jo invited me to tea, a toasted croissant and a nice chat in the morning. Thank you for that! So as it was time for packing, my tent was dry, the first time since days :) The tour for the day was short, after only roundabout 12 miles I arrived at Looe, which you can watch on this webcam.

Fowey
Yes, I did it! At least I reached Fowey, the town I already "knew" from this webcam. But I didn't even now, how sweet the town is. Yesterday the weather looked to work out fine, but today it's raining hard since 5 hours :)

Boscastle
After having been in Bude for some days I decided to go further in direction Tintagel. I was following the national cycle route number 3 and reached Boscastle. Miles for miles downhill into the valley, and some fish and chips in the first restaurant. Guess what? It's raining again! :)
Warm and with a full stomach down to the harbour. I don't believe my eyes, I have seen that place before, on this webcam :)

Exmoor
Been there, done that. It was hard, really hard. I have been pushing a lot, and I must say, I'm not very fond of it, especially when it rains :)
My tour brought me from Minehead to Porlock and from there to the twintowns Lynmouth and Lynton.

Cinque Terre
Feel invited to come with me to this beautiful coast in Italy! Let´s eat from the fresh fish, let us drink some of the cold white wine with it´s subtle odeur of lemon. Let us take a walk in this old landscape with it´s terraces, and let us think about what wonderful invention it was to build those along the steep slopes, before we cool down our feet in the Mediterranean Sea :)
... Or watch the webcam in Riomaggiore here.

Groningen Fishmarket

When visiting Groningen I like to go to the fishmarket. Not only fish is sold, you can buy mostly everything you like to eat :) I like eating some "nieuwe hollandse matjes" with onions, yummi!

Dear Prudence
Dear Prudence, won´t you come out to play?
Dear Prudence, greet the brand new day.
The sun is up, the sky is blue,
it´s beautiful, and so are you.
Dear Prudence, won´t you come out to play?
Dear Prudence, open up your eyes.
Dear Prudence, see the sunny skies.
The wind is low, the birds will sing,
that you are part of everything.
Dear Prudence, won´t you open up your eyes?
Look around round round
Look around round round
Oh look around
Dear Prudence, let me see you smile,
dear Prudence, like a little child.
The clouds will be a daisy chain,
so let me see you smile again.
Dear Prudence, won´t you let me see you smile?
Dear Prudence, won´t you come out to play?
Dear Prudence, greet the brand new day.
The sun is up, the sky is blue,
it´s beautiful, and so are you.
Dear Prudence, won´t you come out to play?
